Our Story
Although Lake Marion Kennels officially welcomed its first Goldendoodle litter in 2026, our story began years earlier. In the summer of 2023, our owner, Hannah Johndrow, had the opportunity to help raise a litter of AKC Labrador Retrievers. Watching those puppies grow from tiny newborns into confident, loving family companions sparked something special. From that moment on, Hannah knew she wanted to one day raise puppies of her own. A few years later, that dream became reality when Tractor joined our family. Seeing the care, support, and dedication his breeder poured into every puppy inspired Hannah to create that same experience for other families. She wanted to build more than a kennel—she wanted to build lasting relationships with puppy owners while raising healthy, well-socialized companions. Today, every Lake Marion Kennels puppy is raised in our home as part of our family. From the very beginning, our puppies are surrounded by children, everyday household sights and sounds, new experiences, and endless love. We believe early socialization, responsible breeding, and transparent health testing lay the foundation for confident, happy dogs. Our breeding program begins long before puppies are born. We carefully select our parent dogs, invest in comprehensive health and genetic testing, follow a veterinarian-recommended health protocol, and remain committed to every puppy long after they leave for their forever homes.

Our Puppy Program
Every puppy at Lake Marion Kennels follows a carefully designed program that focuses on health, confidence, socialization, and early learning. Through daily enrichment, positive new experiences, veterinarian-guided care, and family interaction, we give each puppy the strongest possible foundation before they ever go home.
Our Puppy Program
From the day our puppies are born until they go home, every stage of development is designed to build confidence, curiosity, and a smooth transition into family life.
Raised Inside Our Home
Our puppies are raised inside our home, not in outdoor kennels. They grow up surrounded by everyday family life, helping them become well-socialized, confident companions.
Early Neurological Development
From an early age, our puppies experience gentle handling and age-appropriate enrichment to encourage healthy brain development, confidence, and resilience.
Enrichment Program (3½–8 Weeks)
Beginning around 3½ weeks of age, our puppies participate in daily enrichment activities that introduce them to new experiences in a positive, age-appropriate way. Such as: different textures, new toys, & different supervised outdoor adventures.
Everyday Sound Exposure
Our puppies grow up around the sights and sounds they’ll experience in their future homes. They become familiar with everyday household noises such as: vacuum cleaners, fans, and other household noises. Our goal is to help everyday sounds become normal instead of frightening.
